Plans began in 2016 but recently, the school was able to get additional support from the University of Arizona's Marina Acosta from the Cooperative Extension program also helped garner resources.  Students also had help from Master Gardner Tony Mariano to create flower beds. Cartwright School District's Building and Operations Team assisted with the irrigation set-up.  During the ceremony, students talked about the different plants and their favorite parts of the garden.  After the ceremony, the students invited community members to join them for some fruit and lemonade.
